Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
(1756-1791)

A Composer of the Classical Era.

Mozart was born in Salzburg, Austria and had one older sister who survived infancy, Maria Anna. Mozart began writing music when he was only 5 years old. He is one of the most prolific composers of the Classical Era. He composed more than 600 works including operas, symphonies, chamber music, instrumental works, and choral pieces. Mozart died in Vienna, Austria in 1791.
